In 2007, EFTA commissioned a study on certification and marks in Europe, with the goal of creating a better understanding of crucial parts of the market for marks in Europe. The final report aims to shed light on certification leading to the affixing of marks in selected sectors, with a special emphasis on what is happening at national level. Schemes operating at European level are also covered. In April 2008, the EFTA Secretariat published an executive summary of the final report. Both the executive summary and the full report are available for download.
